What is the Wellness Center? 

The Wellness Center is a safe, inclusive, non-judgmental space for students to build community, recharge and regulate and access resources and support! We are the HUB for all student support services on campus and are integrated into the fabric of our school community!

When arriving at the Wellness Center students can choose from a menu of options.

Get to know your Community Partners

Mending Matters, Epiphany, Vista Hill, Hillcrest Youth Center & more!

Practicum Program within the Wellness Center (AIU and SDUS) offers drop-in activities at lunch (board games, art activities) where trainees can connect with students in an informal setting. Individual/1on1 sessions, family sessions, and groups are available & require parent consent.

 


Connection, Community & Belonging

Come into the Wellness Center after/before school or at lunch to check out all of the different clubs, committees & groups we have to offer!

Menu of Options, Resources and Services

1. Utilize the calming space to practice self-regulation skills (coping skills, breathing exercises, art activity etc.) or relax and recharge for 15 minutes.

2. Wellness Visit- access a 1on1 check-in or resource case management with our Wellness Center Coordinator. We can connect you to programs and services offered at our school site, within the San Diego Unified School District and in your preferred community.

3. Access an appointment with one of our Community Partners

  • Counseling Services: Individual sessions for students, family sessions offered, and group counseling.

    • Free, accessible on campus in the Wellness Center & these services require parent consent

    • Specialty support offered - Military Family Life Counselor program

  • Life Skills Education & Prevention Education 

    • Workshops, Clubs & Committees, School-Wide Awareness Campaigns & other activities are all optional for students to attend.

    • Parent notification letters will be sent home with students for classroom presentations.
